Job description

The employer is a reputable Health Insurance/TPA organization in Qatar. The position is for a Domain Expert in Health Insurance & TPA Domain. To act as a bridge between technical teams and business users, ensuring alignment between data insights and the specific needs of health insurance and regulator operations. Essentially, a Sr BI/Data Analytics resource preferably with experience in large insurance companies or TPAs operating in India and preferably in GCC/Middle-East such that they are familiar with health insurance claims/reimbursements as it happens for foreigners living in the GCC/Middle-East/other countries. Note: GCC/MiddleEast experience has a certain preference. It is not a MUST. Good presentation skills, good domain knowledge. Interact with end-users (seniors) to gather business requirements, interface with the back-end team for the technical execution & present dashboards & reports to the management. Thorough knowledge of regulator requirements will be a plus. Regulator experience (IRDA or equivalent) in monitoring & evaluation is also required. We would give preference to the person (s) who has closely worked with IRDA or equivalent Regulator in the past or working presently with the regulator. Essentially, we are looking for someone who is working as a Head/Dy.Head of Claims in a Health Insurance Company or TPA, one who knows how to handle int’l providers and payors. Doctors experienced in Int’l claims would definitely be a plus. ………………………………. Job Summary (Non-Technical Insurance reporting and Analytical, Expert-Level position): Deep understanding of the health insurance domain, coupled with a proven ability to translate data insights for impactful decision-making, and experience supporting regulatory reporting functions. Collaborating with business users to gather requirements and presenting sophisticated analytical reports and dashboards that drive strategic decision-making processes.

Responsibilities: Advanced Health Insurance Domain Knowledge: • Demonstrate a strong understanding of health insurance data structures, industry terminologies, and regulatory frameworks. • Utilize advanced domain knowledge to enhance the depth and accuracy of analytical reports.

Business Requirements Gathering: • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand nuanced requirements unique to health insurance operations. • Translate business requirements into tailored data analytics strategies.

Interactive Reporting: • Design a framework of dynamic reporting system that accommodates the intricacies of health insurance data. • Present nuanced analytical findings in a clear and compelling manner to support decision-making within the health insurance domain.

Stakeholder Collaboration: • Act as a bridge between technical teams and business users, ensuring alignment between data insights and the specific needs of health insurance operations. • Cultivate strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, fostering collaboration within the health insurance ecosystem.

Process Optimization through Health Insurance Data Insights: • Identify opportunities for process improvement based on a deep understanding of health insurance data. • Present findings and recommendations to drive efficiency and effectiveness in health insurance claims management.

Health Insurance Analytics Communication: • Lead the team in developing and delivering training sessions on interpreting analytical reports specific to health insurance domain nuances. • Promote a culture of data-driven decision-making within the health insurance operations landscape.

Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in a Health Insurance, Engineering, Statistics, Medicine or relevant field; advanced degree preferred. • Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in health insurance claims reporting and analytics. • Proven track record of effectively translating health insurance business requirements into advanced analytical solutions. • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex health insurance analytics to non-technical stakeholders. • Leadership experience and a passion for mentoring and developing analytical talent within the health insurance domain.
