Job Description and Requirements
ou will be a member of the Foundry Core Engineering team which is responsible for new node pathfinding and enablement, using Fusion Compiler/IC Compiler II. As a team leader you would be working very closely with R&D and Foundry Partners and should be able to lead the team through different phases of new node enablement, that includes PPA entitlement, new physical rule enablement and certification processes.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of RTL2GDS solution engineers focused on enabling new node process on SNPS tools.
- Working closely with the R&D and Foundry Partners on new technology process, and help enhance EDA engines for improved PPA in Fusion Compiler/ICC2.
- Lead debug and analysis on engine issues and providing quick solutions (usually TCL/Perl prototypes) to show that EDA engines can be extended to meet the Foundry/customer's needs.
- Drive DTCO (Design Technology Co-Optimization) efforts that helps to deliver best possible QoR from a technology process.
Requirements
- BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline.
Desired skills
- RTL2GDS flow and methodology specialist with 10+ years of EDA product development/deployment, full-flow design tapeout experience.
- Strong understanding of advanced node technologies ( 5nm, 3nm, 2nm) and related challenges. Experience on high performance cores would be a plus.
- Strong understanding of Physical design engines (Placement, Optimization, Routing) and how they interact with each other to deliver high quality QoR (Quality of Result).
- Ability to be proactive and have a strategic mindset in addition to having tactical problem-solving experience.
- Leadership skills to drive solutions by working in a cross-functional environment.
- Highly structured and organized in all aspects of team management, planning and execution.
- Excellent coach to team members skilled in taking advantage of and developing each member's strengths.
- Excellent communication skills including the ability to interface with customers and business unit personnel are essential
