Job description
we are seeking a highly skilled and creative Design Lead to join our commercial interior design and build company. as the design lead you will be responsible for leading the design and overseeing the development and execution of commercial interior design projects. you will collaborate with clients, architects, engineer and contractors to deliver innovative and high-quality designs that meet clients objective and budgetary requirements. The ideal candidates should possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of commercial interior design principles and a track record of successfully managing design projects Responsibilities Lead the Design Team : Provide leadership and guidance to the design team throughout the projects lifecycle Foster a collaborative and creative work environment to encourage team member's professional growth and productivity Assign tasks and responsivities to team members based on their skills and project requirements conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members to ensure high- quality work output. Project Management Collaborate with clients, architects, engineer and contractors to understand project requirement and objectives. Develop project plans, including timelines, milestones and resource allocation to ensure project are completed within budget and on schedule Manage project budgets and track expenses to ensure profitability. Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure design concepts are effectively implemented Conceptual Design and Development Lead the development of design concepts, space planning and layout for commercial interior projects conduct through research on industry trends, materials and finishes to incorporate innovative and sustainable design solution Create detailed design presentations, including 2D/3D renderings, sketches and mood boards to effectively communicate design concepts yo client Design Documentation and Coordination Prepare comprehensive construction documents, including detailed drawing, specifications and material selections Collaborate with architects, engineers and contractors to ensure design intent is effectively communicated and implemented during construction Review and approve shop drawings material samples and mock-ups to ensure compliance with design standards and project requirements Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture or a related degree Minimum of 6-8 years of experience in commercial interior design, including experience in a leadership role Strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of successful commercial interior design projects Excellent knowledge of industry standards building codes and regulations related to commercial interior design
