Job description
Position Overview: The Assistant Sales Manager for the Solar Division plays a key role in supporting sales initiatives, cultivating client relationships, and driving revenue growth within the solar energy sector. This position requires a proactive and results-oriented individual with a passion for renewable energy and a strong desire to contribute to the expansion of solar solutions. The Assistant Sales Manager will work closely with the sales team to identify opportunities, engage with prospective clients, and assist in achieving sales targets while providing exceptional service to customers.
Key Responsibilities : Sales Support and Coordination: Assist the sales team in identifying prospective clients, conducting market research, and developing targeted sales strategies to promote solar energy solutions. Collaborate with senior sales personnel to prepare sales presentations, proposals, and quotations tailored to meet the specific needs and preferences of potential customers. Coordinate sales activities, including lead generation, prospecting, follow-up calls, and scheduling of client meetings and site visits, to maximize sales opportunities. Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, serving as a primary point of contact for enquiries, requests, and ongoing support related to solar products and services. Respond promptly to client enquiries, resolve issues or concerns, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through proactive communication and follow-up. Collaborate with internal departments, including engineering, project management, and customer service, to address client needs and deliver integrated solutions that meet quality standards and project timelines. Sales Administration and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, client interactions, and sales pipeline using CRM software or other sales management tools. Generate regular reports and sales forecasts to track progress towards sales targets, identify trends, and provide insights to management for strategic decision-making. Assist in preparing sales contracts, purchase orders, and other documentation necessary to facilitate the sales process, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. Product Knowledge and Training: Stay informed about solar technology trends, product developments, and industry best practices through training sessions, seminars, and self-study. Develop a deep understanding of the company's solar product offerings, including solar panels, inverters, mounting systems, and energy storage solutions, to effectively communicate their features, benefits, and value propositions to clients. Provide product demonstrations, technical support, and training sessions to clients and internal sales team members as needed to enhance product knowledge and sales effectiveness. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field. Proven experience of 4 to 6+ Years in sales support preferably within the renewable energy or solar industry. Knowledge of solar technology, energy markets, and regulatory frameworks governing renewable energy is a plus.
