The Prime Brokerage Geneva Middle Office is responsible for reconciling position and cash balance data to the Books & Records, which is derived from the Margin application, and ensuring that Geneva portfolio reports sent to Prime Brokerage clients are accurate, as defined in the Scope of Responsibilities section
Job summary:
You will be responsible for the timely investigation of all breaks arising at the back of Prime Custody accounts that we are responsible for and any breaks for accounts where books and records position is not in line with Geneva. Good communication skills and partnering abilities are required as there will be interaction with JPMorgan teams, external agents/counterparties and clients alike. This role represents an exciting opportunity to gain exposure to this growing market and play a part in the growth and success of the team from outset.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prime Brokerage securities trade investigation and reconciliation for all EMEA Markets
- To liaise with Global partners, Settlement Teams, Middle Office and Asset Servicing to resolve Reconciliations Breaks
- Perform key controls across the trade lifecycle process
- Investigating and resolving cash discrepancies
- Investigations and resolving of stock breaks
- Escalation of high value / aged and unknown exceptions
- Liaising with Asset Servicing / Tax / Settlements to identify exceptions and resolve
- Accurate forecasting cash management predictions
- Make sure adherence to company policies and develop changes to office policies and procedures
Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities:
- Analytical skills
- Financial services experience with an interest in securities and investments
- Ability to work under pressure due to cut-off times and volumes
- Root cause analysis and problem solving skills
- Initiative to deal effectively with unfamiliar situations
- Experience of Reconciliations
- Experience within Prime Brokerage / Custody / Geneva
