Zoology Zone Science Center, located in Bhopal, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to the welfare of reptiles and amphibians. They are the only no-kill animal shelter and rescue for reptiles and amphibians in the area. The Science Center can boast of being the region's only Rescue Zoo with over 80 rehabilitated reptiles and amphibians on exhibit and used as educational ambassadors. The center is committed to spreading awareness on the topic of wildlife, for example, their main focus being on reptiles and amphibians.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Research Assistant. The Research Assistant will be responsible for day-to-day tasks associated with research and conducting experiments in the laboratory. They will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data, and presenting findings to the research team. The Research Assistant will also be responsible for communicating the results of the research to internal and external stakeholders and must maintain accurate records of the data collected and analyzed.
Qualifications
- Analytical Skills and Data Analysis
- Excellent Communication skills
- Experience in conducting research and handling laboratory equipment
- Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data with accuracy
- Experience with research software and electronic data capture preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Zoology, Biology, or related field
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with the research team effectively
