The MES Delivery Manager will be a part of a global team managing a team of 10-11. Koch Industries is a privately held global organization with over 120,000 employees around the world, with subsidiaries involved in manufacturing, trading, and investments. Koch Technology Center (KGSI) is being developed in India to extend its IT operations, as well as act as a hub for innovation in the IT function. As KTC rapidly scales up its operations in India, it is employees will get opportunities to carve out a career path for themselves within the organization. This role will have the opportunity to join on the ground floor and will play a critical part in helping build out the Koch Technology Center (KGSI) over the next several years. Working closely with global colleagues would provide significant global exposure to the employees.
Our Team MES Delivery Manager will report to the Manager of KGSI and will be responsible for providing leadership to create valuable solutions for KBS and the customers. The MES Delivery Manager will be responsible for the performance and development of talent in the KTC INTEGRATION Development Team. The MES Development Team will work closely with their global counterparts on enterprise-wide delivery.
What You Will Do - Understand GP's IT vision & strategies and ensure that the team is working towards the vision.
- Build and maintain the IT team and Own delivery of IT applications for GP from KGSI
- Coach the employees to enhance value creation.
- Act as a liaison between KGSI IT team supporting GP business and ensure that there is no ambiguity with regards to business requirements
- Conduct performance reviews, compensation reviews for employees and ensure that the team is consistently high performing.
- Interact and communicate effectively with all technical functional and business teams
- Identify and mitigate any risks associated with team delivery.
- Be a good people manager, manage the team and represents a point of escalation for the team.
- Delivery Manager is responsible for coaching and mentoring others on standard processes and technical best practices.
- Plan and track the work schedule and resource utilization.
- Participate in team selection and hiring and coaching.
- Be trusted partner and work together to deliver value from KGSI.
- Be a strategic partner and help build the MES and MFG application roadmaps with operational and IT partners which clearly communicates the digital journey for change across the sites.
- Build and lead the execution of the MES and manufacturing application scope and strategy in close collaboration with Business & Technical Owners and provide standardization and architectural oversight for processes.
- Be a single point of contact for all kind of escalations.
- Motivate team to generate superior value by suggesting process improvements, eliminating inefficiencies in the systems.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)- You have an academic degree (Bachelor's / Master's) or commensurate hands-on experience.
- Strong people and stakeholder management experience.
- Experience in a Manufacturing IT environment with a required minimum of 5 years and proven knowledge of MES and Manufacturing Practices.
- Minimum of 13 years IT experience. With minimum 5 years of experience in leading the team.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, automated controls and ERP is preferred.
- Experience documenting and implementing development standards and best practices.
- Hands on experience working with users and architects to capture requirements, develop and test interfaces.
- Knowledge of CI/CD Pipeline tools preferably in Azure devops.
- Experience and understanding of Agile frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban, along with essential practices like user stories and sprint cycles.
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skill
- Demonstrated ability to effectively mentor developers.
- Ability to understand vision and drive the team to achieve the same.
- Ability to understand critical support issues related to MES tools and processes.
- Expertise in any of the MES tool (Ignition MES, GE Plant application, SAPME and .Net based custom MES)
- Experience in implementing MES end-to end for at least for one of the manufacturing plant.
- Experience in coaching team members, provide feedback and help them achieve in their self-actualization journey.
What Will Put You Ahead - Hands on development experience with Ignition MES tools
- Experience with MS SQL Server, Postgres, and MySQL database technologies
- Good understanding of ISA95 standards
- Efficiently working with the global teams (Preferably US based customers)
