As a Market Development Specialist, you will play an important role in expanding our market reach. Your responsibilities will include pre-meeting preparations, lead generation, documentation, and maintaining strong relationships with prospective clients. Through your efforts, you will contribute to the company's success by identifying opportunities, generating leads, and facilitating meaningful engagements.
Key Responsibilities:
Pre-Meeting Preparation:
- Prepare slide decks for meeting attendees.
- Compile relevant materials for discussion.
Post-Meeting Action Points:
- Summarise meeting outcomes.
- Identify action items and assign responsibilities.
Information Dissemination:
- Send relevant papers to respective teams.
- Distribute reading materials and reference materials as needed.
Lead Generation:
- Identify target companies for market development.
- Generate leads through published lists, press coverage, referrals, and social media platforms like LinkedIn.
Communication:
- Send emails to secretaries/prospects.
- Conduct tele-calling and regular follow-ups.
Meeting Management:
- Schedule meetings/calls efficiently.
- Draft and send meeting invitations and agendas.
Research:
- Draft and send reading material.
- Prepare credentials and proposals using MS Office and similar tools.
Follow-Up:
- Conduct post-meeting follow-up with both internal attendees and prospects.
- Build continuous rapport with secretaries/prospects.
Database Management:
- Regularly update the prospect database.
- Maintain and check UC standards.
Collateral Management:
- Update company collateral regularly.
- Ensure consistency and accuracy in all materials.
Contract Management:
- Create contracts and arrangement letters as required.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in market development or a similar role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and similar tools for document preparation.
- Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Database management.
- Knowledge of market research and lead generation techniques.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
