Job Summary: As an AWS Cloud Administrator, you will be responsible for deploying, configuring, and maintaining the AWS infrastructure of our organization. You will ensure the reliability, security, and performance of our AWS-based systems while optimizing costs and adhering to best practices.
Responsibilities: AWS Infrastructure Management: - Provision and manage AWS resources, including EC2 instances, S3 buckets, VPCs, AWS Lambda, API gateway and other services as needed.
- Preferred to implement and maintain infrastructure as code (IAC) using tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
Security and Compliance: - Implement and enforce security policies, access controls, and encryption for AWS resources.
- Monitor and address security vulnerabilities and compliance requirements.
- Stay updated on AWS security features and best practices.
Performance Optimization: - Monitor resource utilization and optimize AWS infrastructure for performance and cost efficiency.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and scaling issues.
Automation and Scripting: - Develop automation scripts and workflows to streamline operational tasks and deployments.
- Leverage AWS CLI, SDKs, and other automation tools for efficient management.
Backup and Disaster Recovery: - Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery strategies for critical AWS resources.
- Perform regular backups and conduct recovery tests.
Monitoring and Alerts: - Set up monitoring tools and create alerts for AWS resources to proactively detect and address issues.
- Monitor system health, logs, and performance metrics.
Collaboration: - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, DevOps engineers, and network administrators.
- Provide technical guidance and support for AWS-related initiatives.
Documentation: - Maintain detailed documentation of AWS configurations, procedures, and best practices.
- Document incident responses and resolutions.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- AWS certifications, such as AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, are preferred.
- Proven experience as an AWS Administrator or similar cloud infrastructure management role.
- In-depth knowledge of AWS services, architecture, and best practices.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using AWS CLI, Python, or other relevant tools.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts, security principles, and data backup strategies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Familiarity with cloud cost optimization strategies and tools.
