Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Design Engineer to join our team at DCS Group. As a Design Engineer, you will be responsible for creating and implementing innovative designs for various projects. This is a full-time position based in Pune, Maharashtra, India, with an opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies. The ideal candidate will have 1 to 3 years of experience in design engineering and possess a strong background in sheet metal, AutoCAD, 2D and 3D drawings, presales, cost-effectiveness, tolerance analysis, product design, and fabrication.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- 1-3 years of experience in design engineering, preferably in the sheet metal industry
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and experience with 2D and 3D drawings
- Strong knowledge of cost-effective design practices and tolerance analysis
- Experience in product design and familiarity with fabrication processes
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality
Roles and Responsibilities
- Create and develop innovative designs for various projects, ensuring adherence to design specifications and requirements
- Utilize proficient knowledge of sheet metal, AutoCAD, and 2D and 3D drawings to conceptualize and execute design solutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive design projects from concept to completion, ensuring timely delivery and cost-effectiveness
- Perform tolerance analysis and optimization to ensure the manufacturability and functionality of designs
- Conduct product design reviews and propose improvements or modifications as necessary
- Support presales activities by providing technical expertise and assisting in preparing proposals and project estimates
- Collaborate with fabrication teams to ensure accurate translation of designs into final products
- Stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in design engineering
