UD DSIT

DSIT governs the overall Process and IT efficiency within UD Business. The function drives the usage of common processes, IT systems and infrastructures.

Infrastructure & Onsite Services

Infrastructure & Onsite Services is in charge of all UD IT infrastructure services. As a partner delivers the majority of these services, the mission is focused on governing and controlling this partner and managing the remaining IT infrastructure delivery teams in UD.

Service Management

The mission of Service Management is to Develop and Govern the Infrastructure Services while ensuring their delivery and usage. By that, service management contributes to UD's business competitiveness by delivering standardized and fit-for-purpose infrastructure services and maintaining a balance between time to market, cost, and quality.

We are now looking for a Manager, Service Management - Core Infrastructure.

You will report to the Director of Service Management within UD DS & IT/ Infrastructure & Operations/ Service management in this role.

Role mission & context

The Core infrastructure Portfolio includes network and security services.

You are responsible for managing a global team, driving its performance, financial results, and long-term development. You have a key role in managing and optimizing the service developments and deliveries to UD Business in your scope. You operate in a global context, having a number of interfaces with UD stakeholders, to the main infrastructure partner and also to other strategic and tactical partners .

Key Responsibilities

  • New service development, architecture and innovation
  • Responsible for the service development projects in your service portfolio including budgets and steering of project activities
  • Responsible for steering and key architecture and roadmap decisions in all transformation projects impacting own portfolio
  • Contribute to IT Long Term Plan, strategic targets and policies and responsible to define and drive them in areas within own portfolio scope (notably target infrastructure architecture)
  • Lead IT infrastructure services innovation within own portfolio scope
  • Service Delivery Management
  • Ensure that all services are delivered according to contracted supplier obligations for cost, volumes and quality, in case of SLA defaults ensure a) that UD obtains contractually warranted compensation and b) that service improvement plans are defined and implemented
  • Service Level Management: for new and changed services, define the services KPIs, PIs and metrics, and specify service level targets
  • Formal validation of supplier invoices and, in case of discrepancies, ensure corrections
  • Accountable for proper incident & problem management with the suppliers and act as an escalation point in case of SLA violations
  • Accountable for continuous improvement of the services and of the operational process interactions between UD and partner companies
  • People management and stakeholder management
  • Manage direct reports who, in their turn, functionally manage large supplier teams and project team
  • Manage consultants supporting their own line organization and projects within their own portfolio
  • Manage and continuously develop and improve the relationships with global and multicultural UD and partner teams - spanning commercial, strategic, tactical and operational aspects
  • Within UD, interact with DSIT and business teams regarding requirements, usage, cost and improvements of outsourced services and new service development and act as escalation pointand as required co-ordinate activities between other parts of the UD organization and external partners
  • Outsourcing partnership management: financial, contractual and commercial management of existing, changed and new services
  • define and follow-up service delivery budgets and runtime cost budgets for whole outsourcing scope of own portfolio
  • Monitor achivement of outsourcing business case for own area
  • Conduct negotiations regarding contractual and commercial changes within own portfolio regarding changes of existing services and introduction of new services
  • Support other teams in UD IT in defining and monitoring their investment budgets related to UD owned IT infrastructure assets
  • Manage suppliers relationships related to services development and deliveries both with main Outsourcing partner
  • Strategic and tactical responsibility for relationship with the other UD IT strategic and tactical infrastructure partners (see also software asset management below)
  • Responsible for Product Management of retained infrastructure products within own portfolio: UD cost center structure, budgeting and follow-up according to targets
  • Responsible for software asset management:
  • within own portfolio of services, responsible for optimization of software usage and compliance, including current and future volumes, costs and contractual models for software
  • Contribute to the optimization of the overall financial model of software under UD contracts (some of which are under outsourcing partner operational responsibility) as well as software included in outsourcing partner's services

Required Competencies And Experience

  • University/Master's Degree or equivalent in relevant area
  • Service oriented mindset and business mindset
  • Experience of governance : directing, planning and monitoring of IS/IT services
  • Proven experience in leading, developing and coaching people
  • Experience from leadership in a global context
  • Strong experience with Core Data center Infrastructure Services
  • Experience with steering of projects and programs
  • A good ITIL experience is a plus
  • Excellent communication & presentation skills
