Job description

As My SQL DBA, here's what you can do at Trantor:
● Provision RDS instances, both in stand-alone, clustered, replica, cross-region replica
● Ensure performance, security, and availability of databases
● Prepare documentation and specifications
● Handle common database procedures, such as upgrade, backup, recovery, migration,
etc.
● Profile server resource usage, optimize and tweak as necessary
● Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders

As My SQL DBA ,here's what you will bring:
● Strong proficiency in MySQL & Postgres database management
● In-depth understanding of data management (e.g. permissions, recovery, security and
monitoring)
● Ensure all database programs meet company and performance requirements
● Should be hands-on in tuning & Optimizing SQL queries and stored procedures.
● Optimize sql statements, specially for data-load & data-update.
● Decent experience with recent versions of AWS RDS & MySQL
● Understanding of MySQL's underlying storage engines, such as InnoDB and MyISAM
● Knowledge of de-facto standards and best practices in MySQL
● Knowledge of MySQL features, such as its event scheduler
● Ability to plan resource requirements from high level specifications
● Knowledge of limitations in MySQL
● A broad familiarity with existing standards unds in contrast to other popular relational
databases

● Good knowledge of AWS, RDS
● SQL Concepts (Basic + Advanced)
● Troubleshooting skills
● Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git / SVN
