Job description
A) About the Role:
The Shift-In Charge will be responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of the Automated System Balancing Mechanism Implementation Project at Bihar State Load Despatch Centre (SLDC). This position requires knowledge power system operations, automation technologies, and effective communication with various stakeholders. They will also monitor energy usage, analyse data, and provide recommendations to optimize energy usage.
B) Roles & Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the implementation of the automated system balancing mechanism for Bihar SLDC.
- Ensure adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
- Collaborate with the project team, vendors, and relevant stakeholders for seamless execution.
- Monitor real-time power system data and implement load curtailment decisions as per SLDC instructions.
- Oversee the automated balancing mechanism to optimize demand-side management (DSM) and integrated resource planning.
- Ensure effective communication with DISCOMs and other relevant entities.
- Monitor and analyse energy usage data to identify opportunities for energy conservation and demand response.
C) Required skill set:
- Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with power system scheduling and DSM concepts would be a plus.
- Strong report writing skills and good knowledge of MS excel for analysis.
- Strong communication and leadership skills to collaborate with customers, suppliers, and regulators.
D) Education and Experience:
- 1-3 Years of experience
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Electrical Engineering and/or Power System or a related field.
- Prior experience in power system operations, load dispatch, or similar roles would be a plus.
