Job description

Educational Qualification

1. Graduate in any stream

Experience and Knowledge

1. Should have detailed knowledge and understanding of US Residential Mortgage Loan Origination Process, different loan programs and products.

2. Proven experience as mortgage loan processor or similar position.

3. Knowledge of DU/LPA requirements.

4. Experience of ordering, title, appraisal and other third-party documentations and ability to review such third-party documentations for accuracy as per the loan product and loan details.

5. Understanding of loan underwriting conditions and document requirements to fulfil conditions provided by underwriter.

6. Ability to review Asset documents to track large deposits and Earnest Money Deposits.

7. Knowledge and understanding income calculation based on provided income documents.

8. Knowledge of legislation and best practices.

9. Proficient in mortgage loan computer software (e.g., Calyx Point, Encompass).

10. Outstanding communication and customer service skills.

11. Excellent attention to detail.

12. Well-organized, multi-tasking and able to handle pressure.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Preparing or reviewing 1003 application for completeness based on the provided Asset, income, and other supporting documents.

2. Reviewing credit report for possible red flags.

3. Order property and loan documentation such as appraisals, inspections, title searches, site surveys, contracts, and property tax records to help process mortgage loan files.

4. Gathering all important documents from client (income, assets, debts etc.). Prepare and submit detailed loan package to the lender underwriting department for approval or denial.

5. Verify information and references by contacting the right sources.

6. Submit Change request to rectify or to modify loan application.

7. Act as point of contact between loan officers, underwriters, borrowers, and all involved third parties in mortgage transaction.

8. Maintain detailed documentation of the process in our system - from origination to close.

9. Ensure loan files meet lending and regulatory guidelines and policies.

10. Conduct a final review of the file before closing.
