Job description

Job summary Proficiency in scripting and programming languages, such as Python, PowerShell, or equivalent. Strong understanding of infrastructure automation tools and technologies, including Ansible, PowerShell, Terraform, or equivalent. Experience integrating CI/CD development pipelines (e.g., Jenkins) with Cloud Infrastructure elements Experience and understanding of large-scale applications portfolio in enterprise-wide environment (including migration of on-premise workloads to the cloud) required Experience operating complex multi-datacenter, multi-cluster environment and a strong understanding of multi-tenancy and security. Knowledge of cloud application development solutions (e.g. laas, Serverless, API Management), container orchestration (e.g. Kubernetes, Cloud Foundry), continuous integration technologies (e.g. Jenkins, Spinnaker, Azure for DevOps, Chef, Puppet) etc - Experience designing and implementing automation solutions in a multi-cloud environment Experience implementing architectures to support containerized applications including but not limited to Kubernetes, Docker, Containers. Experience with managing a hybrid multi-cloud environment Solid understanding of cloud security principles and best practices. Solid foundation in IT operational concepts and procedures Relevant certifications in cloud platforms and automation tools are a plus. Well-versed in interpreting business requirements and translating those into Security architecture decisions. Experience with various enterprise applications and IT services, as well as software development, compliance and security, and IT operations disciplines. Knowledge of cloud design patterns, cloud operations and cloud cost models with experience implementing best practices or suggested improvements. Experience suggesting competitive and innovative technical decisions while driving value through adopting solutions on the cloud. Proficiency in tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation to automate infrastructure provisioning and management for Infrastructure as Code (laC) Strong experience with major cloud platforms like Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Expertise in container technologies such as Docker and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes. Knowledge of C|/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, GitLab C|/CD, Travis Cl, etc. Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), and APM solutions. Ability to identify performance bottlenecks, optimize resource utilization, and enhance application response times. Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.) and programming languages (Java, Go, etc.). Familiarity with chaos engineering, fault injection, and other resilience testing methodologies. Proficiency in using version control systems like Git for managing code. Experience with automating routine operational tasks to increase efficiency and reduce manual intervention. Ability to manage relationships with third-party vendors providing SRE-related tools and services. Skill in creating comprehensive technical documentation for systems, processes, and procedures. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Proven leadership and team management skills. Relevant certifications in cloud platforms and automation tools are a plus. Well-versed in interpreting business requirements and translating those into Security architecture decisions. Experience suggesting competitive and innovative technical decisions while driving value through adopting solutions Responsibilities Infrastructure Automation: Design, develop and implement automation frameworks, scripts, tools, and processes for configuration management, scaling, and monitoring of cloud resources. Operations Automation: Drive the automation of infrastructure operation processes, including continuous integration/continuous delivery (Cl/CD), azure automation, webhooks etc to automate regular SRs. Orchestration and Configuration Management: Utilize orchestration tools like Ansible, Terraform to automate the configuration and management of cloud resources, ensuring consistency and compliance. Monitoring and Alerting: Develop automated monitoring and alerting systems for cloud resources, ensuring high availability, performance, and security. Utilize tools like Grafana, ELK stack, or similar technologies. Security and Compliance: Collaborate with the security team to automate security controls and compliance requirements. Troubleshooting and Optimization: Identify and resolve automation-related issues and bottlenecks, continuously optimizing automation processes to improve efficiency and resource utilization. Design and implement reliable and scalable infrastructure to support applications' availability and performance. Implement and manage observability solutions for monitoring application health, performance, and metrics. Collaborate with software engineering teams to improve system reliability through architectural enhancements. Drive reliability engineering practices such as Chaos Engineering, fault injection, and resiliency testing.

Collaborate with stakeholders to set expectations regarding system performance and reliability. Education/Experience: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 12+ years of proven experience as an Automation Architect / Lead with preferrable experience on any of the cloud environments 15+ years of proven experience as a SRE Architect with preferable experience on any of the cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
