Role Purpose:
As a
Server infrastructure engineer at Jumio, You should be strong in both the Window/Linux System Administration and Operation. We are looking for someone who has a deep understanding of Linux systems, good knowledge of networking concepts and hands-on experience with cloud services (Azure and AWS)
Example Role Responsibilities : - Deployment, maintenance, and administration of Window/Linux based services and underlying infrastructure in cloud environments
- Design and develop solutions for deploying highly secure, highly available, performant and scalable services in cloud environment
- Own all operational aspects of running Window/Linux based services and cloud infrastructure including automation, monitoring and alerting, reliability, performance and capacity planning 4. Provide Tier 2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve service and infrastructure issues 5. Have direct impact on running business by thinking about innovative solutions to operational problems
- Quality documentation is an integral part of the role.
- Drive solutions and communication for production impacting incidents
- Running technical projects and being responsible for project-level deliveries
Relevant Experience and Qualifications : - Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science or closely related field
- 5 years professional experience in Linux system administration, with at least 2 years in cloud technologies/services
- SAAS solutions and integrations
- Very strong in core concepts around Window & Linux operating systems, network, DNS, TCP/IP, Proxy, Firewalls and Web services
- 5 years + knowledge of Window AD administration, management (DNS, site topology and full maintenance/improvements/design). Merger/integration of multiple domains to single domain. 6. Good Understanding of AWS/Azure + networking and security services
- Scripting experience with python or bash
- Experience in monitoring and logging systems
- Solid experience in administering and deploying AWS based services
- Experience with Atlassian tools like JIRA and Confluence
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem solving skills
- Curiosity, continuous learning and drive to continually raise the bar
- Strong partnering and communication skills
Great to have Experience and Qualifications : - Solid Server knowledge - Windows AS/DNS
- Solid experience with Linux based services including Ubuntu, Centos, Squid, Apache, Nginx , iptables , Rsyslog , MariaDB ,MongoDB and Radius - Manage and support
- Cloud Experience - Azure/AWS - Manage, deploy, design new technologies, or migration PTV. 4. Experience with AWS VPC, VPN, EC2, Security Groups, ACL,Routing Tables, Directory Service, S3, NLB, RDS, ElasticSearch, CloudWatch
- Experience with Docker containers and Docker Compose
- Experience working with, and maintaining a system compliant to any security framework (PCI DSS, ISO 27001, HIPAA, SOC 2)
