Job description
The Cyber Architect will provide support in furtherance of objectives and initiatives established by the IS Director.
The Cyber Architect will be responsible for carrying out technical and operational security updates, monitoring, and tool deployment across Propelus technical stack.
Responsibilities | Duties of this position include but are not limited to:
Provide architectural expertise & domain knowledge to support the IS Director in advising & guiding senior leadership
Ability to support compliance initiatives with relevant regulations and policies (HIPAA, CCPA, etc.)
Assist the IS Director in the development of Information Security roadmaps tailored to mitigate risks while furthering business objectives
Configure and monitor deployed cyber tools for threats and escalate findings
Implement and leverage metrics and analytics to gain insight for planning, design and management to facilitate the identification of improvement opportunities in the security architecture
Identify risks with technology solutions & design which may impact realization of project benefits, and provide guidance and support to stakeholders in making sound business decisions to proactively resolve or mitigate such risks & delays
Stay abreast of current and future Information Security technical and business trends and best practices through participation in professional associations, practice communities & individual learning, and uses this knowledge to support the execution of an effective Information Security roadmap
Identify and research relevant technologies, participate in proof-of-concepts / prototypes, and recommend application of, and implement, such technologies
Plan, research and design robust security architectures, standards, systems and authentication protocols
Support the IS Director in responding to client RFPs and IS questionnaires
Qualifications & Desired Skills |
Experience as an cyber security architect operating within a cloud centric architecture
Experience securing on-premise and cloud based database environments and cloud application architecture
Possess sufficient technical depth of experience to functionally assist with both the design and build of security solutions attendant to the needs of a growing SaaS company
Knowledge of Information Security policy standards and security architecture frameworks
Information Security certification(s), such as CISSP, CSSLP, GIAC, etc., is/are preferred; a combination of other technical certifications may be considered, such as CCIE, MCSE, etc.
Knowledge of project management/software development methodology and its application to successful delivery of technical change management
Familiar with on-premise and cloud based network protocols and networking infrastructure
Working knowledge of current Information Security risk profiles and industry best practices, with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience
Knowledge of corporate policies, standards, and operating procedures relating to Information Security best practices
Strong verbal & written communication skills
Analytical and problem solving skills
Collaboration & team skills, with a focus on cross-group collaboration
An ability and willingness to travel on occasion (approximately quarterly) both within the US and internationally, as needed
