Making the service experience seamless and efficient through Python automation
Overview :
In the role of ITSM Automation Engineer with a focus on Python, you'll forge paths in optimizing our ITSM endeavours by leveraging automation opportunities through strategic Python programming. Your expertise will illuminate product features that can be honed and enhanced through smart, iterative, and agile approaches, always with an eye toward elevating the quality and promptness of the customer journey. This isn't merely about resolution – it's about elevating the user experience for all who engage with our services.
Key Responsibilities :
• Identify, strategize, and drive Python-based automation throughout our ITSM environment.
• Maintain a consistent automation mindset, perpetually seeking ways to streamline and enhance user experiences through smart Python solutions and knowledge.
• Actively share and absorb knowledge, adapt to new technologies/tools rapidly, and understand and apply them proficiently across varied scenarios.
Minimum Qualifications :
• Associates or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or a comparable level of relevant work experience.
• Minimum 5 years of operational expertise in ITSM environments (ServiceNow and/or Jira), helpdesk functions, and/or system administration roles.
• At least 5 years of substantial experience with Python for automation, with a demonstrable preference for Python over other languages (e.g., Power Shell).
• Proficient understanding of web APIs (especially REST) and experience with Postman.
• Adept interpersonal and team-collaboration skills across multi-disciplinary environments.
• Strong communication competencies, both verbal and written.
• Practical experience in automating IT processes and workflows.
• Working knowledge of pipelines and repositories.
Preferred Proficiencies :
• Solid comprehension of cloud technologies, e.g., Microsoft Azure and/or AWS.
• Adeptness with the following technologies utilizing Python:
o Active Directory – Python libraries for AD management.
o O365 – Utilizing Python with Office 365 APIs.
o Azure AD – Managing and interacting through Azure's REST API using Python.
o Jira/JSM – Automation and interaction with Jira and its workflow tools via Python and REST API.
o Duo – Interacting and administering through Duo Admin API with Python.
• Familiarity with knowledge services, including but not limited to Atlassian Confluence, ServiceNow Knowledge, Microsoft SharePoint, and Wiki using Python where applicable.
• Acquaintance with DevOps principles and practices.
