Senior Sales Manager – Commercial Sales  

Purpose and Scope/General Summary: The Senior Sales Manager will be responsible for sales across multiple processing facilities. This position will lead a team of approximately 8 team members and be a leader in the Commercial Sales business unit. 

Responsibilities: 

• Lead & develop inside sales team channel of approximately 8 team members
• Manage sales for all accounts in customer channel (Retail, Foodservice, Key Accounts)
• Develop relationships with key customers within the sales channel
• Thorough understanding of market conditions, trends and competitive price strategies
• Communicate market information inside the team and across the business
• Coordinate/communicate effectively with peer sales directors
• Work daily with margin management to maximize sales value
• Work closely with other department leads including supply chain, pricing, finance/credit.
• Supports and contributes to the effective management of product inventory (old age, push sheets and freight maximization)
• Use analytical skills to develop strategic sales channel plans
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor degree
• Experience in protein sales required (beef, pork, chicken, etc.)
• Ability to develop and execute both short and long term sales plans and programs to ensure profitability and growth.
• Strong communication skills
• Highly organized and effective problem solving and decision-making skills
• Previous successful leadership experience
• Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
• As a salaried position with the company, you may be required to travel at some point to other facilities, to attend Company events, or as a representative of the Company in other situations.
