Position Title : Assistant Area Sales Manager – South India Department : Sales & Marketing Dept Segments : Oils and Specialty Chemicals. CTC : 6-8 LPA Reports To: Managing Director, Vertical Heads Role Description 1. End to End Handling of existing customers. 2. Actively participate in developing and maintaining new and existing customer relationships 3. Assisting vertical heads to develop regional business and support in all sales activities in the region. 4. Ensure that own proposals for market and product development are acted upon in due time. 5. Produce timely and accurate reports of the segment as appropriate. 6. Handling key existing accounts 7. To organize, direct and control sales activities for the verticals assigned 8. To achieve medium- and short-term commercial results as expressed in volumes and value of business. 9. To add new business lines in line of new products Qualifications Full university degree (MBA degree an added advantage), fluent in English & Hindi At least 5 years of marketing and sales experience. Is a self-starter and able to work independently with minimal supervision Cohesive team-player, proactive thinker and initiative taker An entrepreneurial manager with: (I) Excellent communication and negotiation skills (II) A strategic vision: proactively seeks and explores opportunities to innovate Passion and enthusiasm to share with one’s team Skills and Attributes (relating to above Key Task and Responsibilities receptively)1. Good Presentation Skills 2. Ability to set and achieve appropriate sales targets 3. Quality and Professionalism of Customer Relationships 4. Clarity, timeliness & follow-up of objective setting 5. Level of market awareness 6. Respect for budget 7. Timeliness and accuracy of reports The position is remote work based, and person should be stationed in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, and would require travel as and when required. They will have ample opportunity to interact with overseas clients and suppliers.
