Job description
ADP is seeking a Senior Splunk Administrator and Dynatrace Administrator for Application Performance monitoring and User Experience Monitoring Solutions. This individual will play a critical, internal-client-facing role that interprets and translates client requirements into viable and scalable solutions.
Proficiency in Splunk Admin activities: building, deploying, configuring, and optimizing Splunk Clustered Environments in Splunk Enterprise & Splunk Cloud platforms to ensure efficient data ingestion, indexing, and search capabilities. Proficiency in Splunk Developer activities: writing SPL queries and experience in advanced level dashboarding, scheduled jobs, Data models,CIM, Lookups and other knowledge objects Proficiency in Architecting the Splunk Solutions inclusive of Ingestion and building Splunk Apps to provide the required results Experience in integrating other tools like JIRA, ServiceNow, Jenkins, AWS, Ansible etc. with Splunk using 3rd party app Experience in performance optimization of existing dashboards, reports and alerts Experience in MLTK, DB Connect Apps and experience in any one of the scripting tools (Python / Shell) Knowledge on Premium App like Splunk Observability. Architect solutions for platform migrations from On-Prem Splunk to Splunk Cloud. Analyze the existing Splunk set-up to assess the data flow from log sources. Identify the data size inflow to Splunk and charter action plan for optimization of data. Capability to support end to end data migrations to Splunk cloud platforms. Clearly communicate the risk stakes and business impact that may occur in infrastructure changes. Brainstorm on the probable approaches and best practices in Splunk implementations. Handle change management and work as On-Call during critical phases if required. Research and Development - Responsible for overall Architecture of Application Monitoring and User Experience Analytics and evolution of technical insights, reports and Dashboards for all applications. Candidate will research the exiting tools and solutions and will recommend means of enhancing the architecture to gain insights and improve overall Application Owners’ experience. User Experience Analytics: Responsible for UEM solutions including configuration and infrastructure support of monitoring/alerting/reporting tools through Dynatrace. Makes technical recommendations on application performance improvement initiatives and overall applications monitoring. Also responsible for resolving technical challenges with the underlying Architecture and improving the overall performance of the Dynatrace system. Provide end to end Dynatrace infrastructure support. Proactively find opportunities by analyzing session activities, customer feedback to provide meaningful insights for executive reporting. Generate value by working with development teams and business clients to identify key transactions and events, segments. Monitoring and analyzing session data to understand customer behavior and identify site issues that are adversely impacting conversion. Creating alerts, reports, and dashboards to support growing business needs. Train end users on Dynatrace. Application Performance Monitoring - Using Dynatrace APM tools to optimize application performance and identify performance bottlenecks in web applications and provide solutions. Identify opportunities through Dynatrace and drill down to do root cause analysis for insights gained from User Experience tools like Dynatrace. Provide end to end Dynatrace infrastructure support. Partner with application development, application support, and other IT infrastructure resources to define measurement frameworks, develop KPI's and performance dashboards. Works closely with application development teams during release rollout to analyze application performance impact and troubleshoot issues. Primary Skills: Splunk Architect in Enterprise and SAAS (Must) Should be Splunk Enterprise Certified Admin (Must) AWS/Kubernetes (Must) Linux/Shell Scripting (Must) Hands on experience in using version control tools such as Git/GitHub (Must) Provide hands-on, administrator support for Dynatrace (Must) Should be Splunk Enterprise Certified Architect (Optional) Ansible/Python (Optional) Cribl knowledge is an added advantage (Optional) Additional Notes Knowledge on Cloud infrastructure and platform migrations is key to this role.Job tags
