Job description
Principal responsibilities:
Understanding of P&I Diagram, Plant Master Plan, Equipment GA Drawings and correlation of these documents. Understanding of Customer Order / P.O. / Scope of Work. Leading the Project from front and ensure commissioning within Target time and Budget. Develop P&ID, BOM, sizing of pipelines / vessels and Coordination with vendor for equipment fabrication and manage/ maintain dispatch schedule. Support cost optimization in areas of equipment fabrication and overall project execution. Involve in vendor development, maintain quality and safety procedure and documentation. Collection of design inputs and co-ordination with different agencies for the same. Coordination with customer for approval of Drawings. Provide cross functional inputs to other functions. Support to project site for understanding and clarification on drawings, ensuring sufficiency of drawings as well as construction materials. Ensuring receipt of as-built details from site and incorporating the same in drawings and documents. Consolidating learning from executed projects and implementing the same to subsequent design. Co-ordinate with internal functions / departments, outsourcing engineering agencies, equipment suppliers and customers/ consultants. Planning and scheduling of area wise activities across many projects' schedule requirement. Resource planning and efficient utilization of resources. Customer visit for execution & commissioning of the project. Required key skills (functional/technical): Experience in detail engineering in area of Equipment sizing, equipment Layout, Piping Engineering and Structural Engineering in any of the Process plants viz Food, Steel, Glass, Dairy, Pharma, Breweries, Chemicals and related process industry Conversant with ASME /ANSI/ NFPA / CGA standards relevant to Materials, pipes and fluids. Knowledge of relevant Industry standards. Ability to understand basic engineering documents like PFD, P&I Diagrams, Heat & Mass Balance, Plant technical specifications. Hands on Experience in AutoCAD - 2D drawings. (Experience in 3D will be added advantage). Experience in design software in field of piping and structural design. Very good Planning skills with zeal to adhere to schedules and achieve targets. Good interpersonal and man management skills. Team leadership quality and ability to set ambitious targets. Good written and verbal communication skills and ability to coordinate with different internal and external agencies. Required Qualifications / Experience: The incumbent must be B.E./B. Tech in Mechanical engineering with 7 -1O years in Piping, Static Equipment Design, engineering of Process Plants.Job tags
