Job description
The Lead, Internal Communications will be an individual contributor who will project manage different types of internal communications projects for India - from strategy to planning, execution, delivery, tracking and reporting. The Lead will be responsible for managing internal site level communications, events, leadership visits, for associates in Bangalore, India, and will collaborate with teams in the U.S.
Will be responsible for faultless and timely execution of many different tactics and serve as an internal communication focal for different cross-departmental initiatives and updates plus reporting. The role will involve making proactive suggestions/innovations for campaign or tactical projects, taking/evolving briefs from/with stakeholders, briefing of creative teams, writing and development of communications materials through information gathering - including key message development; writing and editing communications and dissemination via different channels. Independently coordinating with internal departments and partners - managing the overall process within the organization from planning to execution and reporting results.
Essential Job Functions:
Managing a mix of different communications projects for internal audience in India. This involves site level leadership communications, associate engagement initiatives, awards, Diversity and Inclusion, HR and Facilities, IT and also execution of small to large scale events such as leader town halls, site visits. Must be adept at good writing and editing internal communications for many audiences and channels. Must have skills include good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and Adobe Acrobat, branding and printing on different substrates, digital marketing and social media communications/tools. Preferred skills also include Adobe Creative Suite, HTML. Must have strong information gathering skills, relevant to the project and the skills to synthesize the information for various audiences to easily consume and understand, and leverage visibility of multiple projects to provide consultation. Provide supporting creative direction and detailed feedback.
: The Lead will be a ccountable for the overall project management of communications projects working as a key subject matter expert to link business goals to communications for associates. Must be results oriented, having great attention to detail and logical thinking. Will own many different high visibility projects and therefore should be able to work independently, stay focused and organized, prioritize work to ensure timely execution. Must have excellent project management skills and the ability to multi-task, and lead a large number of projects with multiple components.
Build key internal stakeholder relationships to help in developing strategies and plans; which deliver results. Be proactive by asking questions about the business and different functions, policies, processes and stay on top of current and latest information in relation to the organization and India site in particular. Working closely with the agency team and stakeholders along with U.S. teams the Lead will ensure collaborative development of projects and execution. Acting as a counsel for communication tactics and solutions, the Lead will build confidence and credibility with leaders and stakeholders and ensure positive outcomes for associate communications and results.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor s Degree or equivalent in journalism, communications or public relations or equivalent related education and/or experience
Years of Work Experience Required : Eight or more years professional work experience in Internal Communications in a medium to large corporate environment.
Preferred Experience:
Degree Preferred: Master s in Business Administration or other advanced degree in journalism, communications or public relations or equivalent related education and/or experience
Area of Study Preferred : Journalism, Communications or Public Relations or related field
Years of Work Experience Preferred: Eight or more years
Type / focus of work experience Preferred: Eight or more years professional work experience in Internal Communications in a medium to large corporate environment.
