Job description
Consilium Recruit has been exclusively appointed recruitment partner to an innovative design consultancy who specialise in the clean energy sector. Due to the award of new programs, they have a new vacancy for a Commercial Director to lead the strategy, definition & tactical approach for the group.
Location: Flexible
Salary: Dependant on experience
The Role
You will work across multiple areas of business to develop & execute the strategy for the new divisions.
You will keep abreast of the latest technology in the group, and actively investigate and support ideas to exploit technology and product across all imaginable sectors.
Lead the business development & marketing teams, ensuring the market opportunities, market direction & trends are understood.
Support the business planning, P&L & cash flow, with liaison through the financial office.
Help ensure the group’s core strategy, processes and approach is followed through development programs.
Liaise with future customers & lead technical discussions at the early stages of the relationships.
Lead/support business objectives/targets for the group to work to maximise efficiency & drive best in class performance behaviours.
Participate in technical reviews of product designs, requirements & specifications as required, and provide robust hand over support and leadership when handing off to other group organisations.
The Candidate
Experience in compliance engineering to regulations and external standards.
Cross-business knowledge and understanding of business wide responsibilities.
A sound understanding of engineering, physics and applied mathematics and their application to solving real world problems.
A degree or similar qualification in an engineering discipline.
A minimum of 10 years relevant industry experience.
To have an excellent understanding of engineering design practices.
Proven track record in the effective delivery of technical objectives to quality targets and milestones.
Experience working on electrification projects and their sub-systems.
