Description

Bluemantis is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing advanced technical support and expertise for complex issues related to endpoint devices and Microsoft Intune, ensuring the optimal functionality and security of our organizations IT environment. As a key member of our IT team, you will play a crucial role in the administration and configuration of Microsoft Intune settings, policies, and profiles, as well as oversee and troubleshoot mobile device management (MDM) solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide second-level technical support and expertise for complex issues related to endpoint devices for the user community.
  • Provide second-level technical support and expertise for complex issues related to Microsoft Intune and mobile device management.
  • Administer and configure Microsoft Intune settings, policies, and profiles to manage and secure devices across the organization.
  • Oversee and troubleshoot mobile device management (MDM) solutions, ensuring compliance with security policies and standards. (Intune, Addigy)
  • Implement and manage endpoint security solutions through Intune, including antivirus, encryption, and application control.
  • Develop and enforce security policies and compliance standards related to device management using Intune.
  • Skillset to collaborate with other IT teams to integrate Intune with other Microsoft 365 services and third-party applications.
  • Implement automation scripts and workflows for repetitive tasks within Intune or endpoint management solutions to streamline device management processes.
  • Lead incident response efforts for related incidents on devices or requests by users.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, policies, and issue resolutions.
  • Provide training and mentorship to lower-level helpdesk technicians on best practices and advanced troubleshooting.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field. Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate or Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Manager Administrator are often required.
  • 6+ years of experience in IT support with a focus on administration and device management.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Intune, Azure Active Directory, and Microsoft Endpoint Manager. Familiarity with Windows Autopilot and conditional access policies.
  • In-depth understanding of security principles and the ability to implement and manage security measures.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (PowerShell) for automation and task simplification.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve complex issues related to endpoint devices.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members, end-users, and other IT professionals.
  • Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals, or equivalent.
  • Ability to lead and participate in projects related to Intune implementation and enhancements.
  • Demonstrated commitment to staying updated on the latest Intune features, security trends, and industry best practices.
