MAIN JOB PURPOSE :
Homecare- Powder plant Design &Technology Engineer (design & execution) will support Design, project management and technical implementation of Homecare- Powder projects (Spray dried powder and NTR Powder, Bars) across South Asia Home care factories and reporting to Engineering Manager - Unilever Engineering
JOB SUMMARY
The requirement of the job is as follows:
Understand brief for requirement of debottlenecking, capacity expansion, other technological improvement projects with respect to design and execution across all South Asia factories. Carry out design and execution activities for greenfield, brownfield, debottlenecking and capacity expansion projects for HC powders & bars. Lead engineering activities with ESP during concept, FEED and DE of project. Prepare concept plant layout, FEED cost estimates. Review & develop process design calculations, P&ID, layout, mechanical datasheet, GA drawings, technical evaluation of vendor offer, TBA, CBA, vendor design review, procurement support along with ESP. Lead design activities and review during detail engineering. Prepare URS for equipment and machines. BCT reduction and process optimization studies for powder & bar plant Develop affordable capex solutions and support program to qualify new hardware suppliers. Vendor related: Vendor development, connect with vendor for quotes, Technical Bid Analysis, FAT, on time equipment delivery to site. Capability to guide contractors at site and execution capability to deliver the project as per network. Effective liasioning with site team, Category Technology team, Procurement team and Homecare SUIT team
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
. Engineering qualification (Mechanical)
. Experience in Factory Engineering, or operational experience in HC Powder Spray
dried powder plant
. Proven track record of delivering small projects.
. Experience with Homecare- Powder technology
. WCM / TPM Knowledge
Knowledge of ACAD
. Fluent in English
Develop understanding of the machine/material interfaces, ensuring optimum solutions are delivered.
Good Plant Design and Project Engineering experience in FMCG companies
. KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
. Knowledge of Unilever Safety Standards (Fully Operational)
Key standards of leadership: Accountability & Responsibility, Bias for Action
. Project management skills (Industry certified courses beneficial)
. Engineering Design Process Management
A demonstrated practical strong approach to problem solving.
Basic knowledge of thermodynamics (heat transfer), fluid dynamics, and kinetic dynamics.
. Maintenance Principles and Best practice
Proficiency in Microsoft Office - Excel/Power Point and Word
This is a South Asia role and therefore travel requirements mean that travel averaging up to 50% of the time can be expected including site execution.
