Duties and responsibilities, as they align to Ryan's Key Results
People:
· Create a positive team experience
· Review tax research documents prepared by team members.
Client:
· Proactive work status update to International / India liaison.
· Find and analyze all applicable sales & use tax law/rate changes that impact our software and clients.
Value:
· Research and analyze tax documents utilizing relevant computer research tools
· Familiarize with the hierarchy of authoritative support and keep abreast of current tax laws
· Develop and further knowledge of federal and state tax laws to effectively and efficiently analyze multistate tax issues
· Draft tax research documents that includes relevant facts, analysis and conclusions
· Assist in the preparation of matrices, tax manuals and other related materials to document research performed
· Handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work with changing priorities in a complex business environment.
Educational and Experience:
· A Bachelor's Degree in Law, Commerce, Accounting, Business or a related field, or equivalent combination of Work experience and education to meet the requirements of the position
· Prior experience in sales and use tax research will be an added advantage (3-5 years preferred)
· Experience/familiarity of Indirect Tax Software like Taxware, Vertex, Sabrix, etc., will be an added advantage
· Prior experience in using online research tools such as LexisNexis, Commerce Clearing House (CCH), State Tax Notes, BNA Online, RIA Online and other Revenue departments will be an added advantage
· 6-8 years in US Taxation.
