Job Description

Agile Program management responsibilities include collaboration and planning across multiple functional areas, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders and teams to insure proper capacity allocation, cross-functional skills, and alignment. The Agile Program Manager will be responsible for ensuring clear communication of the Agile Team and Team of Teams' priorities associated with their respective Development Value Stream, have skin in the game on product and release delivery, ensuring.

teams are ROAM-ing the risks, and managing dependencies among a cross-functional teams, all while representing the best interest of the business unit and driving desired outcomes. The Agile Program Manager must have clear understanding of business goals and engineeringconstraints as they evolve to maximize the realization of business value. This requires strong engagement with several functions, including business and engineering, to create a plan that adopts to dynamic investments, technology, and market needs. The Agile Program Manager role may, at times, assist business and marketing in the development of strategies optimizing the performance of new and existing product lines to achieve business objectives. This requires the Agile Program Manager to maintain an understanding of the business practices (program management, portfolio plans, strategy, etc.) and provide input to program management, product management and the engineering organizations technical staff coordination, resource allocation, performance feedback and development planning. Agile teams may consist of team members distributed globally. Working with an international team may be required on some Programs. Also, some travel, including both domestic and international travel, may be required to meet with team members and facilitate progress.

Essential Functions

Work with the Agile Program Management Office (APMO) on program/Program execution and operational excellence Understand and operate within Lean Budgets and ensure adherence to Guardrails. Manage and optimize the flow of value through the Development Value Stream using various tools, such as the Program Kanbans and Lean-Agile information radiators. Facilitate development on cadence and release on-demand. Establish and communicate the annual calendars for Iterations and Program Increments (PIs) Work with Product Management, Product Owners, and other stakeholders to help ensure strategy and execution alignment. 7. Facilitate PI Planning readiness by fostering a Continuous Exploration process which drives the synthesis of a Vision, a Roadmap, and Backlogs, and through Pre- and Post-PI Planning events 8. Facilitate or help facilitate the PI planning event. 9. Summarize Team PI Objectives into Program/ART PI Objectives and keep them for visible and transparent. 10. Assist teams in tracking the execution of features and capabilities. 11. Facilitate periodic synchronization events, including the ART sync. 12. Facilitate System Demos 13. Assist with economic decision-making by facilitating feature and capability estimation by teams and the roll-up to Epics, where necessary Coach leaders, teams, and Scrum Masters in Lean-Agile practices and mindsets 14. Help manage risks and dependencies. 15. Escalate and track impediments. 16. Provide input on resourcing to address critical bottlenecks. 17. Encourage collaboration between teams and System Architects/Engineering 18. Improve the flow of value through value streams by improving and assessing the practices associated with DevOps and Release on Demand in the Continuous Delivery Pipeline 19. Help drive the Lean User Experience (UX) innovation cycle. 20. Drive relentless improvement via Inspect and Adapt workshops; assess the agility ART level and help them improve. 21. Foster Communities of Practice and the use of engineering and Built-In Quality practices
