Global Business Services

Global Business Services (GBS) delivers Technology and Operations capabilities to Lines of Business and Staff Support Functions of Bank of America through a centrally managed, globally integrated delivery model and globally resilient operations.

In India, we are present in five locations and operate as BA Continuum India Private Limited (BACI), a non-banking subsidiary of Bank of America Corporation and the operating company for India operations of Global Business Services.

Process Overview*

Global Finance was set up in 2007 as a part of the CFO Global Delivery strategy to provide offshore delivery to Line of Business and Enterprise Finance functions. The capabilities hosted include Accounts Payable, General Accounting & Reconciliations, Treasury Management Support on Capital, Liquidity and Balance Sheet Management, Management Reporting & Analysis, Research & Analytics, Financial Transaction Processing, Finance Systems Support & Regulatory reporting. Over the years, the scope of Global Finance has been expanded to include operations for other enterprise control functions like Human Resources and Risk and Compliance.

Enterprise Capital management (ECM) implements the Board’s capital management strategy including issuance, redemption or repurchase of common stock and other capital instruments. ECM works closely with lines of business and guides them to efficiently and proactively manage the enterprise's capital including design and implementation of capital allocation methodologies. In addition, ECM produces and monitors regulatory and internal economic capital metrics including capital adequacy ratios, leverage exposure and risk-weighted assets and oversees the end-to-end capital measurement process across the enterprise. Partnering with other control functions, ECM manages external disclosures related to capital management including 10Q, 10K, Pillar 3 disclosures and other regulatory filings‎. ECM interfaces with banking regulators globally on all capital related matters.

The GBS ECM team, which is part of the Treasury organization within CFO division, is a new capability that will support the ECM in delivering the Regulatory Capital calculations at both Bank of America (BAC) enterprise level and at standalone entity levels. This team will be responsible for developing, implementing and running the capital calculation for Securitization products and for upcoming GSIB capital requirements. 

Job Description*

This role is for a Business Analyst resource responsible for supporting the implementation of the capital calculations for GSIB capital requirements. The role will include writing detailed business requirements for capital calculator. The resource will be responsible for (1) understanding the requirements, (2) performing the gap assessment for data and system capabilities, (3) defining and documenting the current state (if applicable) and target state processes, (4) ensuring collaboration with Technology teams & Users until implementation of the requirements, (5) user acceptance of the developed capability and (6) responsible for running the reports once the capability goes live.  It requires working closely with the ECM Lead/Business Lead/Product Owner, including upstream / downstream Stakeholders and Technology to ensure all aspects of the change are being considered and prioritized appropriately.
