Job description
- SSAS Expertise: A deep understanding of SSAS architecture, including knowledge of multidimensional and tabular models. Proficiency managing SSAS databases.
- Performance Optimization: Ability to tune and optimize SSAS databases for query and processing performance, including optimizing MDX queries.
- Backup and Recovery: Proficiency in implementing backup and recovery strategies for SSAS databases
- Monitoring and Troubleshooting: The capability to monitor SSAS server health, diagnose issues, and troubleshoot problems efficiently.
- ETL Processes: Understanding of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and how to integrate data from various sources into SSAS cubes or tabular models.
5. SQL Server Integration: Knowledge of SQL Server integration, as SSAS often interacts with SQL Server databases for data retrieval and transformation.
- Scripting and Automation: Scripting languages like PowerShell for automating routine administrative tasks and managing SSAS environments.
