Media and Digital Orchestration Lead

Working within Digital and Media department and reporting to the Digital and Media Manager, the Media and Digital Orchestration lead drives the local E-merchandising and media strategy for India, supports local market in implementing the digital animations, campaign plans, client communication, online services and media plans. Work cross-functionally in close collaboration with the various departments (Marketing, CRM, Media, E-business, Retail, Supply and IT) across 3 division – Fashion, Fragrance & Beauty, Watches & Fine Jewelry.

What Impact You Can Create At Chanel

1/ E-merchandising and digital animations

  • Definition of the E-commerce calendar for new launches in line with Marketing and Business priorities
  • Weekly/Monthly coordination with CRM, Media, Marketing and Retail teams on 360 strategies
  • Creation and diffusion of E-merchandising plans in close collaboration with the regional team (including Corporate Homepage, Axes Homepages)
  • Monitoring of KPI's to measure the effectiveness of plans implemented and readjustment according to campaign performances.

2 / Optimizing online product assortment

  • Daily exchanges with forecasts and supply teams to guarantee constant availability of E-commerce stock.
  • Updation and upkeep of product assortment on the website aligned with local business objectives and strategy.

3/ Improving digital functionality of CHANEL.com

  • Identification of improvement needs to optimize the experience on e-commerce platform and integrate them into the chanel.com roadmap.
  • Roll-out recommendations of Online services and new functionalities

4/ Strengthening the digital presence

  • Collaboration on monthly exchanges on e-commerce performances and project presentations
  • Orchestration of best practice sharing and support in the creation of local animation
  • For new roll-out of market specific support on planning, tests follow-up and briefing.

5/ Execution of the Media Strategy across all divisions

  • External Agency Management:
    • Managing day-to-day relationships with external media agency teams for daily operations.
    • Ensure that all requests to media agency and responses are dealt with in a timely and precise manner, including management of weekly status reports and delivery of accurate schedules and MBAs (Media Booking Approvals) documents monthly.
    • Check competitive data reports supplied by media agency.
    • Liaise with agency to ensure campaigns properly undergo Q/A and are executed across all media (including print, social, search, TV/video, audio, OOH and display).
    • Attend regular status calls/meetings.
Internal CHANEL:

  • Review global guidelines and facilitate development of Media Guidelines Checkpoint document.
  • Assist Digital/Media Manager in developing and submitting the campaign briefs.
  • Lead campaign assets management.
  • Manage and maintain tracking and reconciliation of Fragrance Beauty, Fashion, Watches & Fine Jewelry, Travel Retail OOH, Media, and Fees/Comms budgets.
  • Be actively involved in monitoring of KPIs and feed this into PCAs.
  • Ensure all campaigns post buys are cascaded internally + Distribute campaign screenshots/POPs.
  • Check all advertising for placement, context and reproduction quality.
  • Digital & Social – all online display, pre-rolls to be checked when live.
  • Press – check reproduction; highlight any positional changes for Chanel or other brands. Cross-reference with press checks document produced.
  • Search – ensure live search ads (copy, product launches, etc.) are accurate,

Finance/Billing

  • Ensure timely delivery of Media Booking Approvals (MBAs) from the agency, ensuring campaigns are signed off at the appropriate time.
  • Serve as first touch of all invoices for Fashion, Watches & Fine Jewelry, and Corporate Media and Production charges and review and track in the appropriate documents.
  • Review agency actual spend documents and credit notes, ensuring that these are delivered and processed on time and that are all costs are accurately represented on the media schedules.
  • Review financial documentation with media agency each quarter to ensure accuracy.
  • Work closely with finance team throughout the year to ensure all costs are tightly controlled.
