Job description
Position Summary: As a Lead AI Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in our engineering team, driving the development and implementation of our open-source AI workload optimization solutions. You will lead by example, contribute to technical strategy, and guide a team of talented engineers in solving complex problems. Your work will directly impact the efficiency and effectiveness of AI systems worldwide, making them more accessible and sustainable.
Key Responsibilities: Technical Leadership: Lead the design and development of scalable, high-performance AI optimization tools and frameworks. Ensure our solutions are cutting-edge and contribute significantly to the open-source community. Strategy and Vision: Collaborate with the founding team to set technical direction and product strategy. Identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in the field of AI workload optimization. Team Development: Build and mentor a world-class engineering team. Foster a culture of technical excellence, innovation, and collaboration. Open Source Community Engagement: Actively engage with the open-source community through contributions, discussions, and collaborations. Advocate for our company's mission and build relationships with key stakeholders in the AI and open-source ecosystems. Research and Development: Stay abreast of the latest developments in AI, machine learning, and system optimization. Lead research initiatives that contribute to our product offerings and the broader community. Qualifications: Education: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. A PhD is a plus. Experience: 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 2 years focused on AI or machine learning projects. Prior experience in an open-source project or community is highly desirable. Technical Skills: Profound knowledge of AI and machine learning technologies. Expertise in performance optimization, distributed systems, and large-scale data processing. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or similar. Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team of engineers. Strong project management skills and the ability to deliver results in a fast-paced startup environment. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to a variety of audiences, including the open-source community, stakeholders, and team members.
