The opportunity
The MEP manager is accountable for the delivery of MEP services on projects to the agreed outcomes for time, budget, safety and quality requirements.
Provides high-quality, time-efficient and profitable delivery, whilst having accountability for compliance, governance, and assurance.
Manages teams of technical and construction staff.
Builds and retains relationships with colleagues and internal and external stakeholders.
You'll be responsible for:
Manages MEP package(s) on projects ensuring delivery complies with Mace standards.
Accountable for the successful delivery of the MEP service package(s) including management of the programme, health safety and wellbeing, quality and commissioning of project(s).
Liaises and coordinates with key project stakeholders, forming strong working relationships with the client, consultants, trade contractors and other team leaders.
Ensures specialist packages and appointments are procured against the agreed scope demarcation and to budget.
Manages budgets, value engineering, schedules and trade contracts, and the provision of support to the commercial teams throughout the project lifecycle in terms of reviewing progress or resolving issues.
Deployment of project strategic plans in conjunction with operating framework and strategic priorities, such as prefabrication (C2P), commissioning and safety.
Coordinates delivery strategies and programmes for project phases, ensuring key milestones, interfaces, dependencies, logistics and work sequencing are all properly considered.
Implements commissioning strategies in line with the Mace commissioning standards inclusive of IST approach, ATP's and soft landings.
Undertakes productivity assessments using digital technologies to ensure the project/package is on schedule, identifying trends, key issues and/or critical path.
Supports project close out, ensuring elements of completion are delivered to a high standard, such as commissioning, as built drawings, O and M manuals and client training.
Proactively identification of risk and the production of mitigation plans.
Supports the review of issues to drive continuous improvement and providing lessons learned through the knowledge share process.
Manages a team of professional roles, driving performance and results, whilst delivering performance management, technical development and coaching.
Works collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.
About you
Bachelor's degree in electrical/mechanical.
Experience in leading MEPF services for a project of a similar nature from start to handover.
