Job description
Key Responsibilities:
Research Leadership:
• Establish and lead the research practice within the design team.
• Define and implement best practices for conducting qualitative research in technology and digital design.
Team Collaboration:
• Work closely with designers, developers, and other cross-functional teams to integrate research findings into the design and strategy processes.
Education and Advocacy:
• Educate and mentor researchers and designers on the importance of research in technology and digital design.
• Foster a culture of research-driven decision-making within the organization.
Client-Facing Role:
• Act as a primary point of contact for clients, understanding their needs and objectives.
• Utilize strong pitching and storytelling skills to articulate the value of design and strategic projects.
Research Management:
• Oversee end-to-end research and implementation of findings, from research design to execution, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes with consumer focus.
Business Development:
• Collaborate with sales and business development teams to identify new opportunities and contribute to proposal development.
Travel:
• Engage in frequent travel as necessary to meet with clients, understand their environments, and gather insights.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in psychology, behavioral science, interaction design, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
• 10 years of experience in qualitative research, with a focus on users and consumers in diverse business verticals.
• Proven track record in setting up and leading research practices within design or technology organizations.
• Strong understanding of the intersection between technology and human behavior.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills.
• Client-facing experience with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships.
• Willingness to travel for client meetings and project requirements (mostly USA).
• Proven ability to manage, grow and lead a team of researchers and strategists.
