Job description

A Branch Relationship Officer (BRO) plays a crucial role in the banking sector. Here are some of their key responsibilities:

Providing Financial Solutions: They provide financial solutions to customers by offering bank products1.
Service to Customers: They provide service to existing and New-To-Bank customers in the branch1.
Customer Acquisition: They add new customers through referral generation activities and customer visits1.
Cross-Selling Products: They are responsible for cross-selling the bank's retail banking and third-party products as per assigned budgets1.
Customer Engagement: They engage with existing customers of the Bank which are mapped to their portfolio for offering additional products of the bank as per the need of the customer1.
Transaction Processing: They process customer transactions and service requests within a defined turnaround time (TAT) and ensure end-to-end closure1.
Promoting Bank's Products: They promote the bank's products by taking part in marketing activities and customer visits outside the branch1.
In some cases, BROs may also be posted as tellers as per the organization's requirements for processing cash transactions of customers1. Their role is integral to building strong customer relations and driving the bank's customer engagement strategy across products and services1.
