We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Manufacturing Engineer with a specialization in Electronics to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electronics engineering, particularly in the development and design of electronic components and systems. The Manufacturing Engineer will play a crucial role in maximizing productivity and improving efficiency of each production process.
Responsibilities:
- Participates in selecting, approving, and developing tooling and equipment to satisfy manufacturing requirements and product design intent.
- Analyze proposed engineering changes for manufacturing impact and feasibility.
- Support new model launches by identifying and tracking issues, driving resolution, identifying continuous improvement opportunities, and capturing lessons learned.
- Act as shop liaison between Design Team and Production to ensure products are built to specifications and engineering drawings.
- Provide assistance to production personnel for all facets related to manufacturing of product (working on Functional Circuit Test and In Circuit Testing machines preferably).
- Work with project teams to identify issues and risks associated with NPD.
- Training of operator and staff to follow the manufacturer's procedures and instructions while operating the ICT and FCT machines.
- Ensure that all equipment and machinery is properly maintained and calibrated.
- Reviewing and calculating the costs of the different tools and equipment in the production process and predicting the overheads in future production requirements.
- Train and guide technicians in the design and development of projects.
- Maintain and repair ICT and FCT machines to ensure it's operational and ready for production.
- Study equipment requirements, research testing methods and work with equipment vendors (preferably for Functional Circuit Test and In Circuit Testing machines).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in manufacturing engineering roles of 4-6 years within the automotive or electronics industries, with specific experience in electric vehicle production highly preferred.
- Proficiency in electrical systems design, manufacturing processes, and quality control methodologies.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and process optimization techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and implement effective solutions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
