Morning Shift
Responsibilities: • Prepare and review 100 individual 1040 tax returns within 2 months, ensuring they are of high quality or better than my own standards
• Prepare and review 25 partnership (1065) and S corp (1120-S) tax returns during the same 2 months, maintaining high standards of accuracy and completeness
• Set up Xero bookkeeping files for 10 small business clients who are either transitioning from Quickbooks or are new to bookkeeping, all within the same 2 months
• Execute the monthly and quarterly bookkeeping process, including recording and reconciling transactions in Xero, within 10-15 days of each period ending for those 10 small business clients.
• Document workflows and develop Standard Operating Procedures
• Transition into managing a team of bookkeepers and tax preparers within 1-2 years
Qualifications: • Hold a CPA (or equivalent) accounting designation
• Possess at least 3 years of accounting experience
• Have a minimum of 2 years of US tax experience preparing business (Forms 1065, 1120, 1120-S) and personal (Form 1040) tax returns
• Have experience working in an accounting firm and managing numerous clients
• Be a clear communicator, proficient in both written and spoken English
• Demonstrate the ability to transform disorganized financial records into orderly ones
• Be skilled in constructing year-end financial statements
• Thrive in a fast-paced work environment
• Exhibit exceptional organizational skills
• Be a proficient problem solver
• Have experience creating budgets and cash-flow projections
• Be familiar with various online accounting systems, particularly Xero, Quickbooks Online, and Dext
