Job description
Joining Vance as a Sr. DevSecOps Engineer, you will spearhead the integration of security practices within our DevOps pipeline, enhancing the security posture of our fintech platform. Youre not just improving security; youre redefining how security is woven into the fabric of our infrastructure and product development.
What You ll DoSecurity Integration : Assess and mitigate vulnerabilities in our architecture, enhancing existing security tools, and integrating security practices into the CI/CD pipeline.
Cloud Security Leadership : Serve as the go-to expert for cloud security, driving strategies and solutions across cloud platforms with a focus on AWS.
Collaborative Strategy : Work alongside the founders, engineering, and product teams to weave DevSecOps principles into Vances operational and strategic fabric.
High Availability Systems : Ensure the reliability and scalability of our systems through effective database management and cloud services.
Innovation and Automation : Lead the charge in automating security within our development lifecycle, utilizing scripting for efficiency and setting up comprehensive monitoring solutions.
Incident Response and Compliance : Handle security alerts, participate in incident response, and ensure compliance with relevant security standards and practices.
Experience : 4+ years in DevSecOps, with a proven track record of automating security within a DevOps environment.
Security Expertise : Deep knowledge of security tools (e.g., SIEM, WAF, SAST/DAST, IDS/IPS) and experience with security audits, threat modeling, and incident response.
Technical Skills : Solid understanding of cloud solutions (AWS preferred), CI/CD practices, database management (MySQL, PostgreSQL), and scripting (Python/Go/Bash).
Database & Virtualization : Experience managing high-availability databases and implementing virtualization technologies like Docker.
Security-Conscious Developer : Passionate about building secure, scalable systems and staying ahead of security trends.
Strategic Thinker : Capable of aligning security initiatives with business goals, with a proactive approach to risk management.
Collaborative Innovator : Excels in a team environment, collaborating with multiple departments to drive security as a core component of our infrastructure.
Fintech Savvy : Preferably with experience or a strong interest in the fintech sector, understanding its unique security challenges.
