Job description
Buyer – Electrical and Instrumentation
Responsibilities: · Understanding of Capital equipment in case of Electrical buying · Should have handled an Electrical buying and should have handled equipment like Transformers , Electrical panels, MCC, PCC, APFC panels, Switchgears, Potential transformers , current transformers,VCB,IMCC panels. · Exposure to buying of Capital equipment of Instrumentation shall be an added advantage. · Exposure to making PO and documentation required in ERP system. ( Oracale /SAP). · Strong knowledge of Capital equipment required for green filed and brown filed projects. · Preparation of RFQs and finding the appropriate quotes. - Analyse the quotations, Detailed Engineering Drawings, Reference drawings, GAD, BOM, Test certifications and Catalogue for the equipment / material. - Review and align the consultant’s specs and calculations for any project procurement. · Fluency in English with clear written and verbal communication with peer colleagues , superiors, and vendors. · Supplier evaluation, mapping into system and Factory Assessment Test of ordered material. - Breakup, payback, and reliability calculations in case of heavy/costly equipment. - Continuous up gradation of material specifications and make value additions as per the change/Up gradation in technologies and government norms. · Exposure of working with Engineering consultants for Basic Engineering and Detailed Engineering will be an added advantage. · Understanding of Procurement to Pay cycle. Education Qualification: B.E/ B.Tech Electrical / Instrumentation Experience: 4 to 7 years.
