Role:  Sr. Java Developer

Location: Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar

Experience: 6+ years

Job Description: 

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and other developers to understand project requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

• Design, develop, and implement Java applications that are robust, scalable, and efficient, ensuring high performance and responsiveness.

• Write well-designed, clean, and maintainable code following best practices and coding standards.

• Troubleshoot, debug and resolve issues in existing Java applications, identifying and implementing solutions to enhance functionality and performance.

• Participate in code reviews to provide and receive constructive feedback, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous improvement within the development team.

• Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and advancements in Java development, and apply this knowledge to improve development processes and techniques.

• Collaborate in the design and implementation of database structures, APIs, and integration points to ensure seamless communication between various software system components.

• Write and maintain technical documentation related to code, algorithms, and system architecture.

• Participate in Agile/Scrum processes, contributing to sprint planning, stand-up meetings, and sprint retrospectives.

Qualifications:

- Experience with Java v17 or higher, Spring Framework, MS SQL Server

- Test-driven development using JUnit

- Experience with Web scraping, XML, XSLT, REST/API, Swagger

- Experience with Web development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Any JavaScript library/framework experience

- Experience with AWS

- Experience with Jira, Confluence, Git

- CI/CD with Jenkins

- Good exposure to Agile Scrum or Kanban methodologies

- Excellent communication skills

- Good exposure to enterprise-level projects

- Should be able to mentor the team members technically and can do code reviews

- Should be able to do technical documentation

- Good to have Apache Solr, Karaf and Docker.
