Research Strategy:

Developing and implementing a comprehensive research strategy aligned with the companys business goals.

Identifying research priorities based on market trends consumer preferences and technological advancements.

New Product Development:

Leading the development of new coffee products from concept to commercialization.

Collaborating with crossfunctional teams including marketing operations and quality assurance to ensure successful product launches.

Formulation and Recipe Development:

Overseeing the creation of coffee product formulations including flavors blends and ingredients.

Conducting sensory evaluations and taste tests to ensure product quality and meet consumer expectations.

Quality Assurance and Testing:

Implementing and overseeing rigorous quality control measures throughout the product development process.

Conducting product testing to ensure consistency safety and adherence to industry standards.

Regulatory Compliance:

Ensuring that all new products and formulations comply with relevant food safety and regulatory standards.

Keeping abreast of changes in regulations and guiding the team to adapt accordingly.

Continuous Improvement:

Implementing processes for continuous improvement in product quality efficiency and innovation.

Evaluating and optimizing existing product formulations and processes

Preferred candidate profile :

Sensory Evaluation Skills:

Highly developed sensory perception especially in taste and smell.

Ability to distinguish subtle flavors aromas and nuances in different coffee varieties.

Coffee Knowledge:

Deep understanding of coffee varieties regions and processing methods.

Knowledge of the coffee supply chain from bean cultivation to roasting.

Cupping Experience:

Previous experience in coffee cupping or sensory analysis.

Familiarity with cupping protocols and industry standards.

Communication Skills:

Ability to articulate and communicate flavor profiles aromas and characteristics of different coffees.

Effective communication with team members roasters and other stakeholders.

Passion for Coffee:

Genuine passion for coffee and a strong interest in the coffee industry.

Enthusiasm for exploring and discovering new coffee flavors and profiles.

Attention to Detail:

Keen attention to detail during the cupping process to accurately assess and document coffee characteristics.

Commitment to maintaining consistency in evaluation methods.

Quality Control:

Understanding of quality control measures in the coffee industry.

Ability to identify defects or inconsistencies in coffee samples.

Analytical Skills:

Analytical mindset to interpret and analyze data gathered during cupping sessions.

Problemsolving skills to address issues related to coffee quality.

Ability to adapt to different coffee origins processing methods and brewing styles.
