POSITIONS
SENIOR AGRONOMIST
• We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Agronomist to join our team.
The successful candidate will have a strong track record of success in the management of mangrove plantations.
They will be responsible for the development and implementation of planting programs, as well as the monitoring and evaluation of plantation performance.
The candidate will also be required to provide technical support to our clients and prepare high-quality reports.
Qualifications:
Bachelors or Master's degree in agronomy, forestry, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience working with mangrove plantations.
Proven experience in conducting terrestrial surveys.
Strong knowledge of GIS and data analysis.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Fluency in English.
Responsibilities:
Oversee all aspects of mangrove plantation establishment and maintenance, including site selection, seedling selection, planting, irrigation, fertilization, and pest and disease control.
Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation plans to track the progress of mangrove plantations and assess their ecological impact.
Conduct terrestrial surveys to collect data on soil conditions, hydrology, and vegetation.
Prepare technical reports and presentations on the progress and results of mangrove plantation projects.
Stay up-to-date on the latest research and best practices in mangrove restoration.
Collaborate with other team members, including scientists, engineers, and community outreach specialists.
