Job Description

Our Company
Changing the world through digital experiences is what Adobe’s all about. We give everyone—from emerging artists to global brands—everything they need to design and deliver exceptional digital experiences! We’re passionate about empowering people to create beautiful and powerful images, videos, and apps, and transform how companies interact with customers across every screen.
We’re on a mission to hire the very best and are committed to creating exceptional employee experiences where everyone is respected and has access to equal opportunity. We realize that new ideas can come from everywhere in the organization, and we know the next big idea could be yours!

We are a multi-cloud environment (AWS/Azure/Legacy DataCenters), are security-focused and are helping customers succeed. This individual should be self-motivated and have a drive for quality.

For this position, exceptional critical thinking, problem solving, and in-depth technical skills are necessary. A very good balance of process-oriented thinking skills and experience in managing customer expectations along with ground team is a must. Successful candidate must be able to function at a high level in critical situations.

Should be able to lead team from front and by example, ensuring cross team/Geos functioning.

This position is for you, if you are comfortable with dev, comfortable with ops, and looking for a job that doesn't have "DevOps" in the title?

• Do you have an intimate understanding of the operational challenges of running services at scale, and are you also committed to overcoming those challenges with software instead of manpower?

Adobe needs an Infrastructure Operations Manager who knows how to balance going fast and going big with operating safely. Our mission is to progress, protect, and provide for the software and systems behind all of Adobe Experience Marketing's public services - Analytics, Campaign, Data Platform, Dynamic Form Services, Advertising Cloud, Primetime, Target to name just a few - with an ever-watchful eye on their availability, latency, performance, and capacity. SRE is a mindset of engineering approaches which focuses on building the highly reliable systems and eliminate work through automation.

We hire people from both systems and software backgrounds. Strong candidates will have experience with both. The engineer role within SRE is at the heart of fulfilling SRE's mission: build highly reliable, scalable & measurable customer experience for the continued growth of Adobe's infrastructure.

What you'll do:

• Manage and lead a team of high-performance individuals

• Hold the line of business while managing the tasks for efficiency.

•Transform the work by building tools and commoditising self-service capabilities

•Engage with cross-teams across multiple geographies, be it Customer Care, Product and engineering team from Day 1 to design, build and maintain the system / software for high availability proactively.

• Help Debug software layers, scripts, deployment frameworks, tracers, monitors, self-healing/auto remediation tools and contribute to automate the processes or provide process improvement suggestions from time to time.

• Manage On-Calls with efficiently navigating the Warroom from Ops Side and ensure issue resolution.

• Maintain the business continuity by identifying and drive opportunity of making systems highly resilient and human free.

• Even after self-healing and automation done by you – if EXTREME complex issues arise, get involved into troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of issues across the stacks – hardware, software, database, network and so on.

• Participate in shared on-call schedule [follow-the-sun model] managed across SRE & Engineering & ensure due handover is done at the end of your on-call shift.

• Help with participation in Escalation Triage Meetings (e.g. Account Escalation/Critical Situation) etc.

What you need to succeed

• Troubleshooting and system engineering exposure in UNIX/RHEL production environments. Decent experience with Linux, Internet Protocols, and Large-Scale Operations on Cloud/DCs.

• Supporting, running, and/or consuming cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, OpenStack, Google Cloud Platform.

• Ability to work independently and own problem statements end-to-end.

• Great communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills.

Bonus Skills (the following requirements are not strictly required, but are preferred):

• Experience designing for and dealing with a large production environment.

• Experience with Container and Cloud technologies like Docker/Kubernetes.

• Experience with Amazon AWS (EC2, S3, EBS, EIP, VPC) will or Azure.
