Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Control and Accounting:

. Ensure highest standards of accounting as per India GAAP.

. Implement financial control policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including FCRA and income tax.

. Regularly review financial processes to identify and address compliance risks and inefficiencies.

. Closely monitor cashflows and AP/AR to bring efficiencies in overall operations.

. Develop processes and procedures that enhance speed and efficiency of financial operations to ensure negligible disruption to organisation employees and programmes.

2. Financial Reporting:

. Prepare and present accurate financial statements, reports, and forecasts to the senior management and Board. 2

. Ensure timely and accurate submission of financial and fiduciary reports to regulatory authorities as required.

3. Budgeting and Forecasting:

. Lead the annual budgeting process for the organisation as well as specific programmes, working closely with department heads to develop realistic and comprehensive budgets.

. Monitor actual financial performance against budgets and provide variance analysis with recommendations.

4. Audit Management:

. Coordinate and manage annual statutory audits, internal audits and donor/external audits ensuring timely completion including redressal of audit recommendations.

. Maintain a robust internal control environment to safeguard the organization's assets.

5. Compliance and Risk Management:

. Stay updated on changes in FCRA, income tax, and other relevant laws and regulations.

. Implement and oversee risk management strategies to mitigate financial and operational risks.

. Maintain close oversight and provide leadership when needed to legal and fiduciary matters.

6. Team Leadership:

. Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, cooperation, mutual respect, and continuous improvement.

. Collaborate with other departments to enhance financial awareness and accountability throughout the organization.

. Actively problem-solve issues with suppliers, employees, team members

The Successful Applicant

. Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field high preference for MBA/CA/CPA.

. Minimum of 12 years of progressive financial management experience, including leadership roles.

. Strong expertise in India GAAP, FCRA, income tax, and other regulatory compliance matters.

. Experience in the non-profit sector and knowledge of grant management is a plus.

. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.

. Advanced proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office suite
