Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Part Time Ophthalmologist Phaco Surgeon to join our prestigious ophthalmology department. As a Phaco Surgeon, you will be responsible for performing phacoemulsification surgeries to treat cataracts and other eye conditions. Your expertise in ophthalmology and phacoemulsification techniques will play a vital role in improving the vision and quality of life for our patients.

In this part-time role, you will work closely with our team of ophthalmologists and assist in diagnosing eye conditions, conducting pre-operative assessments, and providing post-operative care. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with other specialists in our state-of-the-art facility, ensuring the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform phacoemulsification surgeries to remove cataracts and correct other eye conditions
  • Conduct pre-operative assessments, including patient history, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and discuss surgical options with patients
  • Provide post-operative care, including monitoring patients' progress and managing any complications
  • Collaborate with other ophthalmologists and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in ophthalmology and phacoemulsification techniques
  • Participate in departmental meetings, conferences, and educational programs

Qualifications, Skills, And Experience

  • Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree
  • Board certification in Ophthalmology
  • Valid state medical license
  • Proven experience in performing phacoemulsification surgeries
  • Strong knowledge of ophthalmic diseases, conditions, and treatments
  • Excellent surgical skills and hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
  • Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
