Job description

Roles & Responsibilities As a Senior Engineer specializing in Customer Quality & PDI at the AMTC section of PTC, the individual will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of product quality and customer satisfaction through proper Product Data Information (PDI) creation and inspection processes. As an individual, their responsibilities will encompass a range of tasks, including analyzing customer specifications, conducting in-process quality checks, and collaborating on improvement projects. As a Senior Engineer, their expertise will be important in addressing and resolving issues identified during inspections and audits, contributing to the overall success of operations.

Key Responsibilities: Analyze customer specifications to create Product Data Information. Perform inspections based on the created Product Data Information. Conduct in-process quality checks during the manufacturing process. Report any internal NCR or Customer NCR and prepare comprehensive NCR reports for any deviation observed at any stage of casting inspection with detailed findings and recommended corrective actions. Stay informed about updates on various customer projects assigned to the Head of Department (HOD). Perform Weekly In-process Audits and compile comprehensive reports. Execute PDI( Pre-Dispatch Inspection) inspections before dispatching parts to customers. Address and resolve any issues identified during PDI inspections. Conduct Product Audits to ensure compliance with quality standards. Assist during Customer and Certification Audits under the guidance of the HOD. Collaborate in conducting Internal Audits as part of the auditing team and contribute to the preparation of audit reports biannually. Contribute to Improvement Projects such as Kaizen, Six Sigma, 5S, Lean, etc. Provide updates on past and ongoing work during monthly Departmental meetings chaired by the HOD. Assist in planning future tasks based on priorities set in monthly Departmental meetings by the HOD. Utilize document management software for NCRs, Contract Review and Quality Management System (QMS) related work. Ensuring compliance with ISO 9001/14001/45001 documentation standards. Ensuring safe material handling and prevent the FOD/Counterfeit parts in their concerned area. Ensuring safe work environment within the working area along with safety officer, Quality and Operation Head.

Desired Candidate Profile Education and Certifications: · Bachelor’s degree in production/mechanical engineering, Materials Science, or a related field. Experience: 3+ years of proven experience in Quality department in foundries, automobile or casting manufacturing industry. Experience in the precision castings industry will be highly preferred. Technical / Functional Expertise & other competencies: 3-8 years of proven experience in handling customer quality and in-process casting inspection for foundries or casting manufacturing industries along with ability to read and understand Product Data Information. Experience in the industrial casting or precision castings industry will be highly preferred. Strong understanding of ISO-9001/14001/45001 standards in all documentation related to Customer Quality. Well versed with the knowledge of 7 Q.C tools, Commitment to safety, environmental stewardship, and regulatory compliance in manufacturing operations. Strong team management skills. Effective communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams.
