We endeavor to deliver a state-of-the-art AI computing stack that encompasses the AI computing infrastructure, AI Cloud, foundational models, and AI-powered end applications for the Indian market. Our envisioned AI computing stack can empower consumers, startups, enterprises and scientists across the world to build their end AI applications or AI models. While we are building foundational models across text, voice, and vision relevant to our focus markets, we are also developing AI training and inference platforms that enable AI research and development across industry domains. The platforms being built by Krutrim have the potential to impact millions of lives in India, across income and education strata, and across languages. The team at Krutrim represents a convergence of talent across AI research, Applied AI, Cloud Engineering, and semiconductor design. Our teams operate from three locations: Bangalore, Singapore & San Francisco. Job Description: We are looking for an experienced Head of AI Data Operations to lead our efforts in managing and coordinating AI data generating and annotation efforts working closely with our AI teams and sourcing from external vendors and publishing agencies. The ideal candidate will have a strong operations background, excellent project management skills in AI and Machine Learning, and a passion for pushing state-of-the-art in Generative AI with data. Key Responsibilities: Oversee all data annotation and data operations for AI model training across text, image, video and multimodal datasets for Generative AI applications Oversee all the data collection and curation activities for AI applications Establish Operations for large-scale speech, text, and video data collection leveraging the Ola ecosystem Collaborate with engineering leaders to understand data needs and requirements for different AI projects and products Oversee data annotation and operations including budgeting for AI model training across modalities (speech, text, image, video, multimodal) Manage relationships with external data vendors and internal data teams to create an expansive network for sourcing content Build, manage, and mentor a large team of data annotators and program managers Partner with product and engineering to understand data requirements and AI processes Maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices for data annotation and ops Create data annotation guidelines and documentation Own processes for data collection, annotation, validation, and storage Continuously improve data annotation quality through assessments, tooling, and process updates Develop and monitor key metrics for data annotation performance, quality, and costs and ensure compliance with privacy and security regulations. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree in operations and management preferred. 10+ years in technical data roles for AI with track record of impactful data products/pipelines Have a strong network with data providers, and publishing agencies across the country Experience leading and managing teams of 100+ data specialists/ leading operations in large scale publishing houses Experience with building and managing Machine Learning and AI programs Expertise with text, image, video and multimodal data annotation and curation from external sources Proven technical program/project management experience, preferably in AI/ML Strong understanding of data annotation processes, cost estimates, and experience with building or leveraging tools like Labelbox Deep understanding of data workflows, QA, and team management Knowledge of best practices for data annotation and operations for AI Excellent project management skills with track record of delivering complex projects Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionallyJob tags
