Job Title: Associate - Merchandiser & Quality Assurance
Location: Malad East
Required Experience: Minimum 3 years.
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Junior
Merchandiser & Quality Assurance Associate. In this role, you will primarily be responsible for
managing relationships with factory vendors, overseeing projects at the factory level, assisting in
the buying process, and ensuring product quality meets our standards through rigorous quality
checks.
Responsibilities:
Vendor Management:
● Build and maintain strong relationships with factory vendors.
● Communicate effectively with vendors to ensure timely delivery and adherence to project
requirements.
● Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions to optimise cost efficiency and maintain quality
standards.
● Detail-oriented and analytical mindset, with a focus on problem-solving
Project Oversight:
● Coordinate and monitor projects at the factory level, ensuring they are completed on time
and within budget.
● Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project objectives and deliverables.
● Address any issues or challenges during project execution, working proactively to find
solutions.
Quality Assurance:
● Conduct regular quality checks on incoming materials, work in progress, and finished
products to ensure they meet quality standards.
● Develop and implement quality assurance procedures and protocols to minimize defects
and maintain product consistency.
● Document and report any quality issues or discrepancies, working with vendors to
implement corrective actions as needed.
Assistance in the Buying Process:
● Assist in buying & sourcing the products and materials from factory vendors.
● Assist in evaluating supplier capabilities, including production capacity, quality standards,
and regulation compliance.
● Participate in vendor selection processes to ensure alignment with company goals and
objectives.
Documentation and Reporting:
● Maintain accurate records of vendor communications, project timelines, and quality
assurance activities.
● Generate reports and analyses to track key performance indicators and identify areas for
improvement.
● Communicate findings and recommendations to relevant stakeholders to support
decision-making processes.
Qualifications:
● Bachelor's degree in fashion merchandising or related field.
● Previous experience in merchandising, procurement, or quality assurance is preferred.
● Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build effective continuous
improvement.
● Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
● Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience.
● Knowledge of quality management standards and practices is desirable.
