Overview

Rambus, a premier chip and silicon IP provider, is seeking to hire an exceptional SMTS Systems Engineering to join our MIC Layout team in Bangalore . Candidates will be joining some of the brightest inventors and engineers in the world to develop products that make data faster and safer.

As SMST Systems Engineering , the candidate will be reporting to Systems Engineering Manager and is a Full-Time position.

Responsibilities

  • Perform regular maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of test equipment to ensure accurate and reliable results.
  • Knowledge on usage of basic measuring equipment like multimeter, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, signal analyzer, Function generators, AC and DC power supplies, Automated Test Stands..
  • Soldering and de-soldering capabilities on through hole, bare board, IC packages and SMD packages of basic components like resistors, capacitors, inductors etc., Rig-up the prototype circuits on general purpose PCBs to evaluate its functional performance and document the results.
  • Maintaining calibration details of lab equipment and get the calibration done before due date expires. Able to follow written work instructions and completes necessary paperwork accurately. Review records for device traceability and compliance.
  • Manage and organize the inventory of electronic components, accessories and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels for ongoing projects.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment in the lab.
  • Support equipment procurement and rental process, raising PO, shipment tracking with the supplier. Track & effectively use the rented items.
  • Work with local vendors on PCB design, fabrication and assembly of the test boards.
  • Work with facilities, finance and operations on the incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Support for lab asset audit.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or BE in Electrical and Electronics with 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Proven experience in the lab technician or similar role. Familiarity with electronic testing methodologies and equipment.
  • Good to have the ability to analyze and interpret complex electronic schematics and datasheets.
  • Familiarity with circuit design and PCB layout is plus.
  • Experience in lab maintenance , inventory and procurement.
  • Effective communication skills with cross-functional teams and convey technical information
