Audit Planning : Assist in planning and scheduling audits related to gold transactions and investments based on organizational priorities, regulatory requirements, and risk assessments.
Risk Assessment : Participate in the identification and assessment of risks associated with gold transactions, investments, and operations. This involves evaluating potential risks such as market volatility, price fluctuations, counterparty risk, and regulatory compliance.
Internal Control Evaluation : Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls related to gold transactions and investments. This includes reviewing control procedures, segregation of duties, authorization processes, and documentation practices.
Transaction Testing : Perform audit procedures to test the accuracy, completeness, and authenticity of gold transactions, including purchases, sales, transfers, and storage arrangements.
Inventory Verification : Conduct physical inventory counts and reconcile inventory records to verify the existence, ownership, and valuation of gold assets held by the organization.
Documentation Review : Review documentation related to gold transactions, contracts, agreements, and financial statements to ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
Compliance Monitoring : Monitor compliance with regulatory requirements governing gold transactions, investments, and reporting. Stay informed about changes in regulations and standards that may impact gold auditing practices.
